What is site.link?
site.link puts what you make in ChatGPT or Claude online at a short address you pick, like mycafe.site.link. You ask for it in the chat. There's no domain to buy and no DNS to set up.
What site.link does
ChatGPT and Claude can build you a page or a whole site, but the link each one gives it is long and random. site.link swaps that link for a name you choose, under site.link:
You don't fill in a form or sign up on a website. You add site.link to ChatGPT or Claude once, then ask in the chat, and the app claims the name and puts your site at it. The address comes with HTTPS.
One account can hold as many names as you like, one per site. Each name shows one thing at a time: a ChatGPT Site, or a site that site.link hosts.
How it works with ChatGPT
ChatGPT Sites keeps hosting your Site. site.link only gives it the name: ChatGPT adds your address to the Site as a custom domain, and site.link creates the DNS records the Site asks for. The records are ready in a minute or two, and HTTPS follows a few minutes after the Site verifies the address.
You need ChatGPT Sites with custom domains, which Enterprise workspaces don't have yet. If ChatGPT can't add the address to your Site by itself, you add it in the Site's settings and paste the records into the chat.
Step by step: connect your ChatGPT Site.
How it works with Claude
Claude has nowhere to host a page at an address of your own, so site.link hosts it. Claude sends the page's files to site.link, and the address works within seconds. When you change the page, Claude publishes it again and the address shows the new version.
It works in claude.ai, the desktop app and Claude Code, on any Claude plan. The Free plan allows one custom connector, which is enough for site.link.
Step by step: share a Claude artifact or publish a website with Claude Code.
What it can host
Sites that site.link hosts are static, which covers most pages Claude makes:
- Up to 100 files and 10 MB per site.
- Pages, styles, scripts, images, fonts, audio, video and PDFs.
- No server code or databases. Forms need an outside service, like a form backend or a booking page you already use.
- No password or card fields. site.link refuses pages that ask for them, because that's what phishing pages do. Link to the sign-in or payment page of a service you already use.
A ChatGPT Site has no such limits from site.link, since ChatGPT hosts it. Until you pay for a name, its site shows a small "Made with site.link" badge in a corner, which visitors can close.
Pricing
Every name is free for its first 30 days, and you don't add a card to start. After that you pay once a year, and the price depends on the name:
| Name | Which names | Examples | Per year |
|---|---|---|---|
| Most names | Anything that isn't a premium word or 3 letters long, including 4-letter names like anna or jdoe. | lunacafe, jdoe, maya-studio | $9 |
| Premium words | Common English words and shop words of 4 letters or more. | bakery, yoga, garden | $29 |
| 3-letter names | The shortest names there are, and the fewest. | zen, abc, k9x | $79 |
Common words and 3-letter names cost more because most people want them, and there are only so many. Every price includes:
- Your address with HTTPS, like mycafe.site.link
- Hosting for your site, up to 100 files and 10 MB
- Or a link from your address to a ChatGPT Site
- No "Made with site.link" badge once you pay
A name's price is set the day you claim it. To see what a name costs before you claim it, type it into the checker on the pricing page.
Paying, renewing and cancelling
- Reminders. We email you 7 days and 1 day before a name's free days end.
- Paying. Sign in at mcp.site.link with the email you use with site.link in ChatGPT or Claude, and choose Keep it. Stripe takes the payment in US dollars, and your year starts that day, even if free days were left.
- Several names. Each name is paid for on its own, so you keep the ones you use.
- Renewing. A paid name renews on the same date every year. Stripe emails you before it does.
- Cancelling. Manage billing in your account opens Stripe, where you change your card, see invoices or cancel. A cancelled name stays yours until the end of the year you paid for, and there are no refunds for part of a year.
- Not paying. Nothing is charged. Your site stays up for 14 days with a notice, then the address is paused. Paying within the next 60 days brings it back. After that the name is released, and any files site.link hosted for it are deleted.
Each of these, step by step: keep your name after the free days.
Who makes site.link
site.link is made by micro.company, a small, bootstrapped team that also makes Collect.chat and WhatsForm. Questions go to care@site.link, and you can report an address that breaks the rules.
Get started
Add site.link to the app you build in. It takes about a minute, and you only do it once:
Then pick your name and ask for it in the chat.
