Add site.link to ChatGPT as a custom MCP server

site.link works inside ChatGPT as a plugin you add from its MCP server. It lets ChatGPT claim names and connect your Site for you, and you only add it once.

What you need

  • A ChatGPT account with ChatGPT Sites and custom domains. Enterprise workspaces don't have custom domains yet.
  • The email address you want your site.link account under.

1. Open Plugins

In ChatGPT, click Plugins in the sidebar. You can also get there from Settings: open Plugins under Integrations and click Browse directory. You don't need developer mode for this.

2. Add a custom MCP server

Click Add at the top of the page and choose Add custom MCP server. Fill in the form:

  • Name: site.link
  • Connection: leave it on Server URL and paste the address below
  • Authentication: leave it on OAuth
https://mcp.site.link/mcp

Tick I understand and want to continue and click Create as a plugin.

ChatGPT opens a site.link window. Enter your email and click Send code. A 6-digit code arrives from login@site.link and works for 10 minutes. Type it in, click Continue, then Allow to let ChatGPT use site.link.

That's your site.link account made. Use the same email later to sign in to your account and see your names.

4. Call it in a chat

Open the chat where you built your Site. Type @site.link and pick it from the list that pops up. Picking it matters: pasting the text "@site.link" doesn't attach the plugin. Then ask your question.

@site.link Is mycafe.site.link available?

Used site.link

Yes, mycafe.site.link is free. Want me to give it to this Site?

This works in chats you started before adding site.link, too. Next, connect your ChatGPT Site to your address.
