Host an HTML file online
Have an index.html on your computer, or a page someone sent you? You can put it online without a hosting account, an upload form or a domain. Claude does it in one message.
What you need
- site.link added to Claude or Claude Code.
- The HTML file, and any images or styles it loads.
1. Get the file ready
One HTML file is enough. Before you hand it over, check what it loads:
- Styles and scripts can sit inside the file or in their own .css and .js files. Include those files too.
- Images on other websites keep working. Images on your computer have to come along, or they show as broken.
- Server code like PHP won't run. site.link hosts static files: HTML, CSS, JavaScript, images and fonts, up to 100 files and 10 MB.
2. Give it to Claude
A single file: in claude.ai or the desktop app, attach it to a message, or paste its code. Make sure site.link is added to Claude.
A file with images or other files beside it: open that folder in Claude Code, which uploads the whole folder in one go. See publishing with Claude Code.
3. Ask Claude to publish it
Publish this file at mycafe.site.link
Used site.link
Done. mycafe.site.link is live.
- Name reserved for your account
- Page published on site.link
- HTTPS on, ready to share
Claude publishes your file as the home page, index.html, so the address opens it directly. If the name is new, site.link claims it first.
4. Share the address
The address works straight away, with HTTPS, on phones and computers:
Changed the file? Give Claude the new version and ask it to publish again. The name is free for 30days, then from $9 a year. See what names cost.
