Last updated October 21, 2026 These terms cover your use of site.link, a product of Micro.company ("we"), including the site.link apps in ChatGPT and Claude. By using site.link you agree to them. ## The service site.link lets you claim a name such as mycafe.site.link and put a website you make with ChatGPT or Claude at that address. There are two ways it works: * **We host your site.** The files you publish are stored by site.link and served at your address. * **You point the name at a ChatGPT Site.** We create and manage the DNS records for the name, and the website itself is hosted by ChatGPT Sites under OpenAI's terms, not by us. ## Your account and your name * An account can hold any number of names. Names are first come, first served. * You don't own the name or the site.link domain. We give you permission to use the name while you follow these terms. * Keep your sign-in secure. You're responsible for what happens through your account. * Some names are reserved, and we may decline or take back names that impersonate others or cause confusion. ## Prices and payment * Every name is free for 30 days from the day you claim it, and you don't need a card for those days. * To keep a name after that, you pay a yearly price set by the name: $9 for most names, $29 for common English words and shop words of 4 letters or more, and $79 for 3-letter names. Current prices are on the [pricing page](/pricing). Prices are in US dollars, and Stripe processes payments. * Each name is its own yearly subscription. Its paid year starts the day you pay, even if free days were left, and it renews automatically every year until you cancel. * You can cancel from your account at any time. The name stays yours until the end of the year you paid for. We don't refund part of a year. * Releasing a name ends its subscription right away, without a refund. * If a name's free days or paid year end without payment, its site stays up for 14 days with a notice, then the address is paused. 74 days after the end, the name is released for anyone to claim and any files we host for it are deleted. We email you before the free days, or a paid year you've cancelled, run out. * If we change a price, the new price applies from your next renewal, and we'll email you before it does. * Names claimed before pricing started stay free, with nothing to renew. ## Websites we host * You're responsible for what you publish, and you need the rights to everything on your site. It's public as soon as it's published. * Your content stays yours. You give us permission to store, copy and serve it at your address, only so we can run site.link. * A site can have up to 100 files and 10 MB in total, in common web file types. * Hosted sites have no server of their own, so we refuse to publish pages that ask for passwords or card details. * Sites at a site.link address show a small "Made with" badge in a corner, naming the app that made the site. Visitors can hide it. Names you pay for don't show it. * Publishing again replaces the whole site. Taking the site offline or releasing the name deletes its files. * Keep your own copy of your files. We keep only the version that's online and the one before it, and we don't promise backups. ## Acceptable use Don't use a site.link address for: * Phishing, scams, malware or collecting passwords or payment details under false pretenses. * Pretending to be another person, brand or organization. * Anything illegal, or content that sexually exploits children, promotes violence or harasses others. * Content you don't have the rights to share. * Spam, or reselling or bulk-claiming names. If an address breaks these rules, we may disable it, take its site offline, release the name and close the account, without notice when the risk is serious. When we take a site down, we keep its files to review the case. Report abuse with the [report form](/report). ## Availability site.link is provided as is. We work to keep it running but don't promise it will always be available or error free. If your name points at a ChatGPT Site, it depends on ChatGPT Sites, and if OpenAI changes or ends that feature, your address may stop working. We may change or end the service; if we end it, we'll give you reasonable notice where we can. ## Ending your use You can take your site offline, release your name or stop using site.link at any time. Taking a site offline or releasing a name stops the address from serving your site right away. ## Liability To the extent the law allows, we aren't liable for indirect or consequential losses, for the loss of files you published, or for losses caused by your website, ChatGPT Sites, or hosting and DNS outages beyond our control. Our total liability to you is limited to the amount you paid us in the last 12 months. ## Changes to these terms We may update these terms. We'll change the date above, and for significant changes we'll tell you by email.
