# Share a Claude artifact at your own link

An artifact stays private in your chat until you share it. site.link puts it online at a short address you choose, and keeps it there as you change it.

What you need

* site.link added to Claude as a connector.
* The chat where Claude made your page.

## Are Claude artifacts public?

Not until you share them. An artifact, the page or app Claude builds beside the chat, is private to you while it stays in the conversation. Claude's own publish option makes it public at a claude.ai link that anyone with the link can open. That link is long and random, so it's hard to say out loud, put on a flyer or remember.

site.link gives the same page a short address you pick, with HTTPS:

## Publish it at your address

In the chat with your artifact, ask for the address. If site.link isn't in Claude yet, [add it as a custom connector](/help/add-custom-connector-to-claude) first.

Publish this page at mycafe.site.link

 Used site.link

Done. **mycafe.site.link** is live.

* Name reserved for your account
* Page published on site.link
* HTTPS on, ready to share

If the name is free, site.link claims it for you as part of the same step. The page is live in seconds, and you can paste the address anywhere.

site.link hosts HTML, CSS and JavaScript. If your artifact is a React component, ask Claude to turn it into a single HTML page and publish that.

## Update it later

Ask Claude for the change in the same chat, then ask it to publish again. Each publish replaces the whole page, so your address always shows the latest version. Visitors don't need a new link.

## Take it offline

Say **"Unpublish mycafe.site.link"**. The page stops loading right away and its files are deleted, but you keep the name to publish something else later. If you don't want the name either, ask Claude to release it. Nobody else can claim it for 14 days, in case you change your mind.

Keeping the address past its free days is covered in [keep your name](/help/keep-your-name).
